Yidah is a multi-talented artist from Trinidad and Tobago. Yidah resides in London as she looks to build on her impressive start to her acting career. Yidah’s main role to date is as ‘Rebecca’ in the feature film, Chee$e, by the unique and talented Director, Damian Marcano (known for American Gigolo 2022, Winning Time:The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, as well as others). CHEE$E is Marcano’s vibrant, rollicking, rags-to-riches tale following the antics of a young Trinidadian cheesemaker-turned-drug dealer. Yidah’s role as Rebecca is the female lead in this film, set to be a trilogy. She first worked with Marcano in 2018 in his Pilot for ‘The Fire Queen’, where she was originally an extra, but was given a speaking role on set during the filming of the scene. In 2022 CHEE$E began its rounds as an official selection at many film festivals around the world, such as; South By Southwest (SXSW), where it picked up the Special Jury Adam Yauch Hörnblowér Award. It has gone on to BAM Cinemafest, London BFI Film Festival, Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival, France’s La Roche-Sur-Yon International Film Festival as well as others. Yidah was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, and spent much of her childhood and teenage years exploring drama, singing, dance and visual arts, from acting on screen and stage, to modeling and DJing. After really embracing her love for music, Yidah moved to London to further study DJing and music production using Ableton Live at Point Blank Music School. Yidah’s focus is now on her acting career, balanced against her musical artistry and finding projects that allow and enhance her diversity and talents. She is an avid horticulture lover having trained at Chelsea Physic Garden and loves spending time outside tending to her plants with the warm company of her cat and young Weimaraner puppy.
