Wale is a writer-director with over eight years of experience working in both long-form and short-form filmmaking. In 2017, he produced a web series (Our Best Friend’s Wedding), which garnered over 3 million views on YouTube and in 2020, he created and produced two TV series, Little Black Book and My Name Is A-Zed. Both series aired on Showmax, Africa’s largest streaming platform and got nominated for Best TV Series and Best Writing at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. In 2022, Wale successfully pitched an original series, Ololade to Netflix and went on to work as the showrunner. Ololade debuted in 2023 at the #1 spot on Netflix Nigeria and maintained this for 8 weeks. The series also made top 10 in 12 other countries. Since then, Wale has written and produced two short films Yam & Egg and Shell, and directed his first short film titled Overcomer.
