Reece Grant is a 27-year-old, London-based Black British, multi-disciplinary artist, director, producer, screenwriter and video editor. He was born and raised in Lewisham in South-East London. Reece’s proof of concept short film called THE HOOD, which he wrote, directed, produced and edited when he was nineteen and studying for the Cert/HE in Practical Filmmaking at Met Film School. THE HOOD was inspired by his upbringing and the true events he experienced in Lewisham. It has amassed over 1.9 million views to date. In 2015, he was selected by that National Youth Film Academy for their series "NYFA TOP 5", which showcased their five favourite UK film directors under the age of 25. This was broadcast on all four of the "Made TV" regional TV channels. Reece is interested in directing and writing films in the social realism, neo-noir, crime, drama and dramedy genres and in reflecting the Black experience.

Reece loves writing coming of age dramas and film scripts based on true events and the Black community. He's also passionate about creating mental health awareness and commercially accessible stories with social commentary that includes Black actors in the lead roles. Reece has experience in directing music videos, working as a freelance video editor, photographer and camera operator.

Reece was also selected for both the Pro-Create/S.O.U.L Fest 2021 - 2022 Mentorship Programme and British Independent Film Awards 2021 - 2022 mentoring programme.
